MENTAL HEALTH TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Help raise awareness of the importance of mental health for education professionals and young people in your school.

Our training courses provide delegates with an understanding of common mental health disorders, what causes them, how to spot someone suffering with them and the various ways in which help and support can be accessed from specialist services.

MENTAL HEALTH AT WORK (QNUK)

Level 2 Award in Mental Health at Work (QNUK)

This 6-hour course will provide valuable information about mental health conditions, which will enable you to support your pupils and their families, your friends and family, and your work colleagues. As well as providing information on how to help others, this course will also offer tips for improving and maintaining your own mental wellbeing.

The course covers stress, depression, anxiety, OCD and PTSD, and the stigma of mental health and how we can play a part in encouraging people to discuss mental health. You will also examine harmful coping strategies such as self harm, eating disorders and substance abuse and develop skills in starting and progressing an effective conversation about mental health.

Level 3 Award in Mental Health at Work (QNUK)

This 12-hour (two day) course will provide in-depth information about mental health conditions, which will enable you to support your pupils and their families, your friends and family, and your work colleagues. As well as providing information on how to help others, this course will also offer tips for improving and maintaining your own mental wellbeing.

The course covers stress, depressions, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, psychosis, personality disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar, supporting people with suicidal tendencies and stigma of mental health and how we can play a part in encouraging people to discuss mental health. You will also examine harmful coping strategies such as self-harm, eating disorders and substance abuse and develop skills in starting and progressing an effective conversation about mental health.

As well as this, you will also discuss the moral and legal requirements for employers and the benefits of supporting the workforce's mental health.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS (QNUK)

Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness (QNUK)

This 4-hour course will provide valuable knowledge about mental health conditions which will enable you to support your pupils and their families, your friends and family and your work colleagues.

The course covers stress, depression, anxiety, OCD and PTSD, and the stigma of mental health and how we can play a part in encouraging people to discuss mental health.

YOUNG PEOPLE'S MENTAL HEALTH (QNUK)

Level 2 Award in Awareness of Young People's Mental Health (QNUK)

This 7-hour (one day) course looks at the short and long term impacts of poor mental health on young people and their learning. During this course, we look at some key elements that affect young people in today's society, such as social media, the internet, gaming, and being a young carer.

The course covers stress, depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, supporting people with suicidal tendencies, and the stigma of mental health and how we can play a part in encouraging people to discuss their mental health and build resilience.
